You are:
An experienced, hands-on Snowflake Data Architect with deep expertise in designing, building, and governing modern data platforms on Snowflake in the cloud (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). You thrive on shaping end-to-end data architectures -from ingestion and modeling through performance, security, and cost optimization-and you're equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves with SQL/Snowflake features as you are guiding C suite and engineering teams on target state designs.

Defining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Snowflake architectures
Leading and mentoring data engineering and BI teams
Translating complex business requirements into robust data models and patterns
Partnering with clients and cross functional teams to drive data led transformation

Key Responsibilities:
Snowflake Data Architecture & Strategy
Define, document, and own target state data architectures on Snowflake, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data sharing patterns.
Establish architectural standards, blueprints, and reference implementations for multi domain, multiregional Snowflake environments.
Data Mo deling & Design
Lead the design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models (e.g., dimensional/star, Data Vault, wide tables) optimized for Snowflake performance and consumption.
Define and enforce data partitioning, clustering, and micro partitioning strategies to maximize query performance and minimize cost.
Data In tegration & ELT Architecture
Design robust ELT/ETL patterns to ingest data from on pre m and cloud sources using tools such as db t , Informatica, ADF, Fivetra n , Matillio n , or similar.
Define frameworks for CI/CD, testing, deployment, and environment management for Snowflake data pipelines.
Leadership , M entoring & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor teams of data engineers and analysts, fostering technical excellence and best practices in Snowflake and cloud data engineering.
Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and analytics/AI teams to understand requirements, prioritize roadmaps, and deliver value aligned capabilities.
This is a hybrid role in Tampa, FL and will require 3 days per week in the office.
What you need :
A minimum of 5 years of overall experience in data engineering / data warehousing / data architecture roles
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on , production experience as a Snowflake Architect / Senior Snowflake Engineer , including: Designing and deploying enterprise Snowflake environments, Implementing data models, security, and performance strategies in Snowflake and Strong cloud experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking, security, and data services integration with Snowflake
A minimum of 4 years of SQL and Snowflake experience , such as: Virtual warehouses, micro partitionin g , clustering keys; Time Travel, Fail Safe , Streams & Tasks, Snowpipe / ingestion patterns and RBAC, masking policies, secure views, data sharing
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus points if you have:
Data modeling, governance, and quality management skills: ?
Experience designing dimensional models, normalized schemas, and/or Data Vault
Familiarity with data cataloging, lineage, and quality frameworks
Technical leadership and solution design :
Proven ability to lead architecture/design sessions, produce solution blueprints, and guide teams through implementation
Experience working with cross functiona l teams (data engineering, BI, AI/ML, security, operations) ?
Experience with DBT or similar ELT modeling frameworks on Snowflake
Experience with Databricks, Python Language, Py Spark, or other big data/compute engines and how they integrate with Snowflake
Hands on experience with realtime / streaming ingestion (e.g., Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, Snowpipe Streaming)
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, financial services) with strong compliance requirements
